As much as I hate to admit, I have in fact read the 50 Shades of Grey series finally, yes, I know like all my lovely friends told me “about time” and all that nonsense, although I did it I suppose out of peer pressure? I really struggled to read the books and was simply bored with the language. I know a lot of people, men and women alike were so into it and it was the best thing since sliced bread. I actually don’t have a problem with poor literature as long as it gets people to stop watching TV and start to do some reading. ANYWAY, that aside…. I raised an eyebrow however when I saw all the same people frantically sharing the official trailer which has been released for next year February 14th, Valentines Day.
I must say that the way it is portrayed in the trailer makes me slightly more interested in it than the books and I will eventually watch the movie but I promise you I won’t be running to the cinema on Valentines Day to watch this. I can think of better things to do, like wash my hair or sleep.
But, even if you are one of those people who will be running to the cinema please people calm down, pull yourself together because at the end of the day its only a movie of a very poorly written story so please don’t get your hopes up that it will be any better. If you want good stories there are plenty out there but I do not necessarily think this is the one we should all be going googly eyed over.
